About me

I’m an associate director with Weber Shandwick, having previously been with the City of Edinburgh Council, SEPA, NHS Grampian and the BBC.

I live in Dunfermline, with my wife Emma, Jamie and Briony, and our ‘sprocker’ Tilly. Though Fife is currently home, I was born in Aberdeen and brought up in Perthshire (Killin and Aberfeldy).

What I’m interested in should be reasonably apparent from the blog and links elsewhere, but my main occupation away from work is making music (I say that, but time to do that has been in very short supply in the last few years). Other than that, I like anything to do with language, most sports, and dogs. I don’t much like following Aberdeen football club, but I do it anyway.

You can find me on Linked In and Twitter. There’s also Facebook (if we are, indeed, friends ;-)!)
